Air America Flight Center’s streamlined rental checkout process is designed with your safety and proficiency in mind.Whether you're new to Air America Flight Center, a time builder, or a seasoned aviator, our team is here to guide you through the checkout process with professionalism and expertise.

Ready to Take Flight?

At Air America Flight Center, we prioritize safety and adherence to aviation standards. During your checkout, you'll fly with our Chief, Assistant Chief Flight Instructor, or one of our Designated Flight Instructors. Your flight skills will be evaluated based on the Airman Certification Standards (ACS), ensuring you're ready to fly safely and confidently. While the checkout typically takes a minimum of one hour, it's a vital step in ensuring your readiness for renting our aircraft.

Checkout Checklist

Before your checkout flight, ensure you have the following documents and items ready

  • FAA Pilot Certificate
  • Current Medical Certificate
  • Original government-issued photo ID (driver's license or passport)
  • Original Passport or Birth Certificate (proof of citizenship)
  • Current Charts and approach plates (if instrument-rated)
  • View limiting device
  • Checklist for the make and model of the aircraft you'll be flying

Please note that you must bring a Passport or Birth Certificate before you'll be allowed to fly. We take safety seriously and adhere to all regulatory requirements to ensure a safe and enjoyable flying experience for everyone.
